michelleallegra I get by with a little help from my friends 👭🎼. .

Something happen today that I talked about on my stories earlier, that I wanted to share with ya’ll here. Towards the end of what seemed to be a productive day ending in a meeting with my favorite organization we work with, I ended on not such a great note. I then headed home, got on the train, and was greeted by a little boy and his mom. The little boy was 13 months old, and was one of the cutest little kids I’ve ever seen. He proceeded to play with my nails (as it’s something he probably had never seen before) and clap. It was so cute and completely changed my mood. I realized that what had made my crappy day was not such a big deal at all, and this little boy seemed to turn it all around in less than five minutes. The biggest thing I can take away from this is how ridiculous getting upset at the smallest things can be. We can’t control every outcome and every move someone makes, but we can control how we respond to it and how it takes a toll on our day. I’m not the best at letting go, but this one instance made me realize that I have to not get so uptight about things and just let them go. Live life to the fullest with the most happiness you can.
XOXO,
